I've heard a lot about people having a "green thumb," but I feel like I have the opposite—I've managed to kill a cactus and a tomato plant! I'm completely lost and wondering where I went wrong. Are there actually plants that are easier to care for? Can someone like me learn how to keep plants alive, or am I doomed to only have fake ones? I'd love some recommendations for beginner-friendly plants like succulents and tips on how to understand what each plant needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Having a ‘green thumb’ often comes down to understanding your environment and choosing plants that can thrive in it. It's generally easier to adapt your space to the plants than the other way around! Take some time to experiment and learn what your plants need.
You actually ‘earn’ a green thumb by killing a few plants first! It's all part of the learning process. Trust me, after a few fatalities, your skills get sharper!

Haha, I can relate! Every plant death brought me one step closer to knowing what to do better.
