Should My Contractor Be Cleaning Debris Before Sealing Walls and Floors?

I'm in the middle of a major remodeling project, and I've noticed that there's a lot of dust and small particles inside the old wall and subfloor areas. I'm wondering if it's standard practice for contractors to clean this debris out before they seal or redo the walls and floors?

In the end, it’s really about what’s in your contract. They should do what you’re paying them for, but make sure that’s clearly laid out in the agreement. Have a chat with them if you’re not sure!

Absolutely! Contracts are key. Make sure to read through it and see if there’s anything in there about cleaning. That will help clarify your expectations.
