Which Battery Should I Keep for My Milwaukee Plunge Cut Track Saw?

I recently got a great deal on an 8.0 battery for my Milwaukee tools, but when I bought my plunge cut track saw, it came with a free 6.0 battery. I'm trying to decide which battery to keep. The 6.0 offers higher output, while the 8.0 allows for longer runtime on medium output tools. Which one should I use with my track saw, and what should I consider when making my choice?

Ultimately, the difference isn't huge. One battery provides longer life while the other gives you a bit more power. Think about what’s more important for your work—if you value longer cuts without recharging, go for the 8.0. If you want more power for tough jobs, stick with the 6.0. It's really a personal choice!

Consider how many cuts you typically do. If you’re working in a garage and always near a charger, the runtime of the 8.0 might not matter much. It seems like having a consistent recharge option can really clear up your decision.

Kind of varies wildly depending on the project I'm working on, but I'm never far away from a charger. I think this may have answered my question haha.

Honestly, it's all about what you already own. The 8.0 is great for tools like an angle grinder where you want longer usage, but for the track saw, it won't make much difference. I've done fine with smaller batteries, too. Just know that if you want to run it all day, staying cool with alternating batteries will extend their life.

Thanks for your comment! I don't have any other M18 batteries yet. Just starting with the track saw, but I plan to expand my tool collection later.
