Can I Use New Furnace Filters That Don’t Fit Right?

I have an Ultra V Tech 91 furnace (Model Number: G1d91au075d12b-1a) and I recently bought some new filters for it. The problem is, these new filters don't have the groove that aids in proper placement, and instead, they're getting sucked to the left side of the furnace. My old filters had that groove which allowed a specific fitting. I'm worried about using the new filters—are they safe? If not, I'll just go back to the old filters I had. I've attached pictures for reference.

It's always best to go with filters that fit correctly. If your new filters are getting sucked to the side, that could mean they aren’t doing their job properly, possibly leading to issues down the line. Stick with your old type or look for another that fits the specifications.
