How Do You Cope During Winter When Gardening Isn’t an Option?

I'm really curious about how everyone manages their gardening habits during the winter months when it feels like we're in a gardening dry spell. It's still cold here, although we get a few tempting warm days, and my thoughts keep drifting to my garden. I've found myself chatting with my seedlings almost every hour and accidentally overwatering them because I'm just so eager for things to grow! So, how do you all cope with that impatience before the growing season kicks in?

I’ll draw out my ideal garden plans on graph paper, even if I know I won’t stick to them exactly! I also look through lots of gardening catalogs and make tons of drawings. It's a fun way to stay hopeful, and I might start some seeds too early just to satisfy that itch!

Same! I had a detailed map of my beds, but I lost it. Now I’m just trying to remember what’s where with my weeds coming up.

For me, it's all about starting my seeds indoors and planning my garden layout. During the deep winter, I take the opportunity to focus on other hobbies and get really excited about what’s to come in spring. Plus, I can't bear the thought of eating grocery store veggies!

Honestly, lots of video games like Stardew Valley help me escape! It's a fun way to stay connected with gardening vibes while I wait for spring. ?
