Hey everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning to swap out our laminate flooring for LVP in our condo. The problem is that our refrigerator cabinet was installed on top of the old flooring, and we're unsure how to handle the area beneath it when we replace the flooring. We should be able to remove the dishwasher since it's also on the old floor, but we're wondering about the best approach for the refrigerator cabinet. Any advice on how to tackle this and what level of difficulty to expect? Thanks a bunch!

Have you thought about pulling the fridge out and removing the old flooring completely? Typically, both the fridge and the dishwasher have flooring underneath them so you can easily install or take them out. But since your fridge has a built-in cabinet around it, removing that might be tricky. It could be a bit of a hassle getting flooring underneath it if it’s all enclosed like a shelf.
You've got a couple of options here! One easy route is to cut the existing flooring flush with the edges of the refrigerator cabinet. Then, just lay the new flooring right up to that cut edge. If you're okay with a bit more work, you could take the cabinet out, install the new floor underneath, and then put everything back. Just keep in mind that if you're removing any cabinets, it might take a bit of effort and could require some repairs to the walls or counters after.
