I'm working on some home improvements this spring, specifically replacing the top boards on my back deck and building a small 5x5' porch out front with railings. I currently have a DeWalt DCD771 drill. Is it sufficient for screwing tasks, or would it be worth it to invest in an impact driver to make the work easier? If you recommend getting an impact driver, which DeWalt model should I consider, since I've already got multiple tools and batteries from their line?

Definitely go for an impact driver! They're compact, lighter, and can handle big screws with ease. I wouldn't want to tackle a deck renovation without one.
I've got an impact and yeah, it's powerful but it's also pretty loud, so I only use it when absolutely necessary. Maybe think about adding another drill to your arsenal, but impact drivers are super handy to have!

Wait, so you're suggesting to get a different drill instead of an impact driver, but also saying having more drivers is good? That’s kinda confusing!
