I'm on the lookout for solar panels, ideally fitting 12 to 14 kW on my house. I'm gearing up to invest in an electric vehicle, and my next project is a heat pump, followed by things like an induction stove and dryer. My goal is to secure the lowest cost per watt, and I'm planning to mount the panels above a rooftop patio without any roof penetration. Any recommendations on where to buy?

I bought these Trina panels last fall and found them a dollar cheaper in October. I ordered from Resupply because they offered a flat $149 shipping rate. Just a heads-up: don’t focus solely on the panel price; shipping can make a big difference. I had to order extra panels for potential damage—better safe than sorry!
You might want to check out Facebook Marketplace or A1 Solar Store if they’re local to you. Also, there's NAZ Solar and Santan Solar which could offer some good deals, especially if you can pick up the panels yourself to save on shipping.

That’s interesting! I was planning to add aluminum plates with PEX for DIY solar heating along with my PV panels. It’s tricky figuring out if that's worth it compared to just going with bifacial panels. I estimated about 871k BTUs per day for my setup, but I still need to do the loss calculations for heating.
