Should I Choose M12 XC5 or XC6 Batteries?

I'm considering whether to go with the M12 XC5 or XC6 batteries for my dust buster vacs at work. My memory tells me that the XC5 was better than the XC6, but I can't recall if I'm mixing up models. I remember hearing that the XC6s didn't last as long as expected; they only made it about two years, and we didn't even use them that hard. When I check them on the charger, they show a green dot but only two out of four on the tool itself. Can anyone provide some insights?

I totally agree. I had two XC6s, and they both failed within a year. I just grabbed a couple of XC5s on sale at Home Depot, and so far, they're doing great! Seems like the XC5 really outshines the XC6 in terms of longevity.

From what I've seen, the XC6 batteries have some issues, while the XC5s are generally considered the best option. If you want reliability, I'd definitely lean towards the XC5s based on my experience and feedback from others.

If you're looking for high performance, the 5.0 high output version is probably the way to go. I've heard consistently good things about them, and lots of folks seem to prefer them over the XC6.
