Hey everyone! I came across some old threads discussing David Weaver's unicorn sharpening system, and I heard that he moved his videos from YouTube to Rumble. I've been trying to track them down but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know where I can find his videos?

You can find David Weaver's content compiled on his site. Check out this link: https://ofhandmaking.com/! It's a great resource for his sharpening method.

Anyone mind breaking down the unicorn sharpening method? Like, a quick TLDR?

Sure! The main idea is that edge failure starts at the very tip. A lot of issues we run into with woodworking tools happen right at the final edge. If you can avoid edge damage by refining the tip and using a shallower bevel, you're on the right track. Buffing the honed edge after grinding helps too, making it tougher without the need for a steep shoulder behind it. It's a less precise technique but works well if you get the hang of it!
