I planted some winter peas with my daughters about a month ago, but unfortunately, the slugs have completely wiped them out just as the weather is starting to warm up. Does anyone have tips on how to keep slugs away from my peas in raised beds?

Another idea is to start your seedlings in deep long pots. Save some plastic water bottles, cut the ends off, and once the seedlings are strong enough, plant them and cover each one with a bottle for protection. Just make sure to leave the lids off so they can breathe, and you can remove the bottles when they're established.
You might also want to think about other pests like pigeons that could be bothering your plants. They can be a problem in the garden too! If you need tips on how to keep them away, I can help with that.
One option is to let your peas grow a bit bigger before planting them out. Stronger, more developed plants are less likely to fall victim to slugs. This could help ensure they survive longer in the garden.
