I'm looking to lay down around 1 ton of 2 inch gravel under my deck in the backyard. I've been having trouble finding reliable cost estimates online. The gravel will need to be wheeled in about 10 feet through the yard. One guy quoted me $80 for delivery and installation, but I want to know if this is a fair price before having more people come out for quotes. The gravel itself costs $135, but I'm curious about what others have paid for similar jobs.

Yeah, it seems fair to me! Just think about the convenience of having it done without a ton of back-and-forth. If the guy is efficient and knows his stuff, that might be worth it. Just double-check if there are any hidden fees.
Honestly, $80 for delivery and installation sounds pretty solid. From what I know, the stone delivery itself could be around $50. If the person can knock it out in about 10 minutes, you might be getting a good deal here!
I agree, $80 is reasonable, especially if they can do it quickly. Just make sure it covers everything you need, sometimes they'll add extra charges for the labor if it takes longer than expected. You could always ask for a breakdown of costs if it’ll ease your mind!

True, but I still have to pay for the gravel itself on top of that. Just want to know if that's a typical setup.
