I'm in need of recommendations for a corded jigsaw that won't break the bank. I've been using DeWalt tools so far but can't afford their 6.5 amp corded model priced at $135 right now. I've seen several options in the $30 to $60 range on Amazon from brands like Black & Decker, SKIL, and Bosch that I recognize. For now, I plan to use it sparingly as I'm still getting the hang of this craft. My current project is making a cornhole board, and I need to round off some 2x4s for proper swivel action. Any suggestions based on your experiences would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check out Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. I've seen listings for DeWalt, Ridgid, and Makita jigsaws going for around $50. You could score a solid tool without spending too much!
I picked up a cheap Porter Cable jigsaw, and it's been doing a great job. Just make sure to use high-quality blades for the best results!
I've got a cordless DeWalt and also a corded Black and Decker that only cost me $30. Honestly, I don't notice much difference in performance between them. If you're just starting out, I think you’ll be fine with a budget option!
That's good to know! I have a corded B&D too, and it seems decent. Just can't justify spending more on a jigsaw when my other tools cost over a grand.
Don't forget to check local thrift shops or Goodwills. You can often find tools in the $10 range. Just plug them in to make sure they work, and then grab some new blades from a hardware store!

Snap, didn't think of that option. Well played.
