Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a strange issue in my room. There's a small area on the floor that's been really warm for the past few days, making the temperature in my room about 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. This warm spot is only about two feet wide and has been consistently warm. I checked for any water leaks, but the water meter isn't running when everything is turned off. I'm really worried it might be something serious, like a gas line issue or something dangerous. Any ideas on what this could be or what I should do?

It sounds like it could be a duct leak, especially if your HVAC ducts run under the floor. I’d check if there's a vent or register nearby, as warm air might be escaping from there. Keeping an eye on that could help you pinpoint the issue. Good luck!
This could actually be a slab leak, which can happen when pipes under the floor start to leak. Make sure nothing is running in the house and check your water meter to see if it changes. Turning off the water heater valve for a day might help you see if the spot cools down. If you have access to a crawl space, it might be worth checking underneath as well.
I had a similar situation before, and it turned out to be a broken air duct under the floor. If you've already done some checking for water, crawlers usually help with discovering hidden issues. I'd suggest peeking under there if you can.
