What’s the Best Way to Make a 70-Degree Bevel Cut on Plywood End Grain?

I'm trying to figure out how to cut a bevel on the end grain of a plywood sheet at an angle greater than 45 degrees—specifically, around 70 degrees. Is there a specific router bit I should use? Any advice would be appreciated!

For plywood end grain, I'd suggest looking into raised panel router bits. They often come with various angles, so you might just find one that fits your needs. If not, you could always build a jig to hold the router at the right angle and use a surfacing bit instead.

Using a track saw or a skill saw with an angled jig would definitely make it easier to achieve that kind of bevel cut. Have you thought about that approach?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too! But I'm also hoping there's a specific router bit that can handle that sharp of an angle.

You might want to consider using a dovetail bit. It could potentially work for that angle, but it's something you'll need to explore further.

Do you really think there's a dovetail bit that can make a 70-degree bevel? That sounds like a stretch!
