Is $8,000 a Fair Price for Roofing Work?

I'm looking to replace the roof on my single-story, 750 square foot house in Michigan. So far, the best quote I've received is $8,000, but it doesn't include the garage. Is this a reasonable price, or should I keep searching for lower estimates?

That quote sounds reasonable, especially if you've received multiple estimates. It’s often wise to compare the quotes you get, but if $8,000 is the best you've seen so far, it’s a solid start!

While it seems okay, don’t just go for the best quote. Make sure the roofing company has a good reputation and experience. Avoid hiring someone who’s just started and doesn’t have a track record.

Thanks, that's a great point! I'll look into their experience more closely.

It’s hard to judge the price without knowing your specific area. Try to get at least three estimates to compare. Looking at what each quote includes is just as important as the price itself!
