Hey everyone! I'm curious about woodworking outdoors. I've got a small workshop, and I wonder if it's a good idea to work outside when the weather is nice. Does direct sunlight speed up the drying process of solid wood too much? I often break down plywood sheets right on my truck bed in the driveway. What's everyone's thoughts on jointing and planing outdoors?

I’m in Florida and love working outside on a concrete pad next to my shop, especially for messy projects. It’s really pleasant, and I haven't had issues with sunlight affecting the wood much. The exposure isn't that long anyway!

I work outside often in my area too because it’s my only space. It feels great!
