I'm planning to make four windows for my chicken coop and I think polycarbonate sheets would be a better choice than acrylic or glass. I have some sheets that I need to cut, but I'm not sure what tool would be the best for the job. Any recommendations?

Polycarbonate is definitely a smarter choice over acrylic for chickens! You can easily cut it with a jigsaw using blades made for plexiglass, especially for more intricate shapes. For straight cuts, a circular or table saw works great too. Just remember, the cut edges will be quite sharp, so I'd recommend picking up a deburring tool to smooth them out. If you want to achieve a nicer finish, you could try flame polishing the edges with a butane torch to make them look more glass-like.

Do you think I could use my woodworking tools like files and sanders to dull the sharp edges instead?
