I'm working on a project with double layers of 5/8" drywall and I need some advice. I'm trying to figure out what length of screws I should use to secure these layers into the studs. Any recommendations?

For double drywall, I'd recommend using screws that are at least 2 1/4" long to ensure you get good penetration into the stud. Some folks even go for 2.5" screws to be extra sure. That's been my go-to when working with two layers of drywall like this!

Yep, 2.25 to 2.5 is perfect.
