Will My Bouquet Survive Being Left in the Dark?

I bought a bouquet today with roses, tulips, and mimosa for a surprise tomorrow, but I had to hide it in a dark room and didn't put it in water. I won't be back home until after 10 PM—will the flowers be okay, or am I in trouble? What should I do when I get home?

They might be a bit sad after being out of water for around 5 hours, but it really depends on the flowers and the environment. Generally, a bouquet starts to wilt once it's cut, but putting it in water when you get back can help a lot! Just make sure to cut the stems at an angle before putting them in a vase to help them hydrate better.

Glad to hear they'll probably be okay! I'll keep that tip about cutting the stems in mind.
