I just got a Polkadot Begonia from a local hobbyist and I'm really excited! I'm new to taking care of begonias, so I'm wondering if my plant is doing well or if I need to repot it. Any care tips would be super helpful—thanks a lot!

Congrats on getting your Polkadot Begonia! They're beautiful plants. Without a picture, it’s a bit tough to say if it’s doing well, but generally, make sure it’s in a well-draining pot and that you're using a good potting mix. Begonias like bright, indirect light, and don’t overwater them—let the soil dry a bit between waterings. If you see any yellowing leaves, it might be a sign of overwatering. Good luck!
If it starts drooping, that’s usually a sign it needs a drink. It’s a balancing act!
Seeing a picture would help a lot, but if you think it needs repotting, you might just want to check how root-bound it is. If roots are coming out of the drainage holes, it’s time for a bigger pot! Otherwise, just keep it in some indirect sunlight and keep an eye on the humidity. They love a bit of moisture!
I had the same issue with mine. Once I upped the humidity, it really perked up.
Yeah, they love humidity! A pebble tray is great for that.

Thanks for the tips! I think I’ve been a bit too generous with the water.
