Can I Use a Regular Drill for My Dryer Vent Installation?

I'm looking to replace the exhaust pipe and the hood on my dryer. Would a regular DeWalt drill (not a hammer drill) be sufficient for making the holes for the anchors?

If the cover isn’t supporting a lot of weight, you could probably just use some good adhesive or tape instead of drilling. But if you’re set on drilling, good call on getting a hammer drill for tougher tasks later on!

Absolutely! A standard DeWalt drill is perfect for that job. Hammer drills are mainly for tougher materials like concrete, but for your dryer vent, the regular drill should work just fine.
