My plumber suggests replacing it with a 3-inch PVC pipe for around $5,000, claiming that the 1.5-inch is the bare minimum and tends to clog easily in my situation. I'm considering whether it's worth it to replace the line altogether rather than just cleaning it out.

You might want to think about getting a jetting kit for a pressure washer if you're willing to put in some work. If you buy a decent electric pressure washer and a jetting kit, you could clean the pipe yourself every fall for not a lot of money. This way, you wouldn’t have to deal with the clogging issue as often and could save on those expensive cleanouts!

I think getting a mini backhoe could make this a one-day job and save you money. Even if you hire a plumber, it should cost less than $2500 if it's straightforward.
