Hey everyone! I recently moved a couple of my plants outside for the summer, and unfortunately, it didn't go well—my Jade plant, which I thought was pretty tough, ended up dying. I'm new to taking care of plants, and I'm looking for advice on how to properly acclimate them when moving them in and out. Any tips or strategies would be super helpful!

I usually have luck with Jade plants if I only give them morning sun. What other plants are you trying to move? Most of mine do best in bright, indirect light, so full sun might not work for them. Consider choosing plants that are suited for outdoor conditions.
It's important to know that some plants are better suited for indoors, while others thrive outside. I recommend using apps like Blossom or PictureThis. They can help identify your plants and tell you whether they should be indoors or outdoors based on their needs. For example, Blossom can give you watering schedules and light requirements, which is really handy!
Is the area you're considering putting them in full sun? If it’s a roofed porch, I'd say you might have some options for partial sun lovers!
Yeah, it's a porch with a roof, so that might help.
I have this greenhouse attachment to my house where I move my plants outside in the spring. I wait until nighttime temps are consistently above 49°F before taking them out, and I monitor them closely to make adjustments if they look stressed. In the summer, it can get pretty hot inside, up to 102°F! I usually bring them back in by mid-September when it starts to cool down at night.

Haha, I even managed to kill a spider plant! I have a ton of plants, too many to list. ?
