Starting a Bee-Friendly Garden: What Hardy Perennials Should I Plant?

I'm new to gardening and really eager to help the bees. I have a mostly empty garden space and I'm looking for some strong perennial plants that can thrive. What do you recommend and when's the best time to get them in the ground? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Do you know what kind of area you’re working with? Like, how much sunlight does it get, and what's the soil like? That info can really help with plant recommendations!

It's south-facing, but I'm in Yorkshire, so it can get a bit cold. Not sure about the soil, but it's dark and looks loamy. Just trying to figure it all out!

If you've got space for trees, consider adding some! Cherry, Willow, and Hawthorn are all amazing choices. My Cherry tree blooms like crazy and attracts so many bees—it's incredible!
