Looking for Companion Planting Tips for Peppers and Sunflowers

Hey everyone! I just got a garden box at my new place, and I'm super excited to start growing some plants. I'm planning to grow peppers and sunflowers, but I'm curious about what else I can add to the mix. I've thought about tomatoes and onions, but I'm not sure if they would all thrive together. I live in Denver, and my garden box gets sunlight from the north, east, and west, though there's a fence in front of it. I'd also love some general tips for growing these plants, as I'm a bit of a newbie!

Basil is a fantastic companion for peppers. It actually helps repel pests, which is a nice bonus! Plus, it’s pretty easy to grow alongside your other plants. Definitely think about giving that a shot!

You're good to go with tomatoes and onions alongside those! Just a heads up, though—tomato plants can get pretty large, so keep that in mind when arranging your garden box. As for sunflowers, they can grow really tall and might shade out some of your shorter plants, but they haven't caused major issues in my garden. Just be cautious where you place them!

I'm outside of Denver and the yard gets loads of sun! The shading was my main worry from the sunflowers. I'll upload photos tomorrow since the boxes are split a bit but touch.
