I've got a bit of a challenge since my girlfriend and I live in an apartment where drilling into the walls isn't an option. We want to showcase our Pokémon cards on our bookshelf while ensuring they stay in good condition, especially by minimizing UV light exposure to avoid fading. So far, I'm planning to use blackout fabric and cut it to fit our window, attaching it with command strips to block out all light. I'm also on the lookout for LED light strips and bulbs that don't emit UV light. Does anyone have tips on how to achieve this, or suggestions for UV-free lighting brands?

Instead of making all these changes to your apartment, why not just get UV protective cases for your cards? It’s a lot easier than blocking out all the light.

The problem is, the cards are CGC graded, and there aren’t any completely clear UV-protective slab guards that fit those. My girlfriend isn't a fan of the colored borders either. We're also looking into a UV-protected display case, but those are tough to find without going for something cheap from Amazon. Plus, we'll still need those UV-free LED bulbs and strips.
