Recommendations for Cordless Hedge Trimmers and Leaf Blowers?

Hey everyone! I have a really long and tall hedge on my property that needs trimming, and I'm in the market for a powerful cordless hedge trimmer. My main concern is the battery life, especially since I want to have spare batteries on hand. I heard that DeWalt has universal batteries that can work with their other tools, but I'm also interested in finding a solid battery-powered leaf blower/mulcher. Any advice? Thanks!

The Stihl AP range is definitely the best choice for professional-grade electric trimmers. I've got both a regular and a pole hedge trimmer from that line, and they're excellent! However, when it comes to electric leaf blowers, there's really nothing out there that performs well and lasts long yet—it's a bit of a disappointment!

If you're willing to invest a bit more, you can't go wrong with Stihl or Husqvarna—they're top-tier. If you're looking for something more budget-friendly, Erbaur is decent, but keep in mind their battery life isn't the best.

Using two batteries on a charge rotation with a Stihl or Husqvarna trimmer should do the trick. They last a good while, so you won’t have to worry too much!

I would advise against buying a DeWalt battery hedge trimmer. The design is flawed; while the battery worked fine for me, the hinge is plastic and it snapped after a while. Not worth the investment.

You could consider hiring the equipment instead of buying it outright. Since you might not need to trim the hedges all that often, renting could save you some cash.
