What M12 Battery Size Should I Choose for My Impact Tool?

I'm about to buy an M12 Surge Impact and I mainly plan to use it for removing and installing machine screws. I know it's a bit over the top for this job, but I want the best performance I can get. I'm looking for a compact battery, ideally a max of 3.0Ah. I've seen mixed opinions about the specifications of the 3.0Ah battery. Most of my work will be with low torque (around 12Nm), so I'd prefer battery life over power. I also want it as light as possible, but it seems like the 2.0Ah and 3.0Ah batteries are similar in size. Occasionally, I might need it for undoing bolts at 54Nm; can a 3.0Ah handle that, or should I consider getting a 4.0Ah or 6.0Ah for that?

If you're mainly doing low torque work, the 2.5Ah High Output (HO) battery would be your best bet for compactness and efficiency. However, the Surge performs really well with the 5.0Ah HO battery; it’s great for weight distribution since it can be a bit top-heavy. If you're okay with the extra weight, the 5.0Ah gives you unbeatable battery life.
