I recently bought some seeds from an eBay seller who's asking for a review, but I haven't had the chance to grow the plants yet. I told him I'd leave a review around August after I've grown them. However, I've noticed a lot of people leaving reviews shortly after buying seeds. Is it common to review before actually seeing the results from the seeds? How do you write a fair review without having grown the plants yet?

I always find it much more helpful when someone leaves a review after they've actually grown the seeds. What's the point of reviewing them without knowing how well they perform? It just seems fairer.
You should definitely leave some feedback based on what you can evaluate—like price, shipping time, and packaging. If you plan to grow them soon, you might want to wait and review things like germination rates. But waiting until August is a bit much; sellers shouldn’t be held accountable for your gardening outcomes! eBay has limits on how long after a purchase you can leave a review anyway.
When I review seeds, I mostly focus on the shipping, packaging, and how accurately they were described. I tend to skip reviews for seeds since I can’t tell how viable they are right away. It’s a good point about not leaving them because you feel pressured!
That’s exactly what I’m talking about! The pressure to leave a review before you're truly ready is frustrating.
You can't really evaluate the seeds themselves without growing them first. At this stage, you can only review the buying experience—like the transaction process, shipping speed, and packaging. No obligation to leave a review if you don’t feel ready!

I see your point, but sometimes the seeds might not be true to type and that won’t be evident until they actually grow. It’s a tricky situation.
