I've got a GE front loader (model GFW550SSNWW) that's only a year old, but it's not draining. I replaced the drain motor thinking that was the issue, but it didn't solve the problem. The hose seems fine since I can blow through it easily. When I put it in diagnostic mode and check the voltage lines for the motor, I see 9 volts when it should be idle, but when I press the door close button to start draining, it drops to 6 volts. Do you think the main controller board is having problems?

It sounds like you’re on the right track with the voltage readings. If you’re not getting the full 120 volts to the drain motor, it could indicate an issue with the controller board. Have you looked into the filter? Make sure it’s not clogged, as that can really affect the draining process too.
Before you jump to replacing the controller board, make sure all your connections are good and clean. Sometimes a bad connection can drop the voltage you’re measuring. Also, if you haven’t already, cleaning the filter might be a good first step before calling it a total loss.

Yeah, definitely check the filter! I’ve had that be the culprit in a few cases. Maintenance items like that can easily get overlooked.
