I've had my spider plant in the office for about 8-9 months, and it was doing great until recently. Out of nowhere, I've noticed it's struggling, with a lot of dead or dying leaves each week. I make sure it gets indirect light, and I check the soil moisture weekly, usually giving it a drink before the weekend if it needs it. But now, it seems like at least half the plant is gone, and I'm really worried! I started this plant from two small cuttings, so I want to do everything I can to save it. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

It might be worth checking if they turn off the AC on weekends. Changes in humidity and temperature could be stressing the plant out. If you can, get a humidity gauge too!
I suggest checking the roots. Sometimes, they can get too wet or start to rot, which is not good. A quick root inspection might tell you a lot!
Thanks for the tip! I think I might need to repot and really look at the roots. I'm bummed to see it struggling though.
Make sure you’re watering correctly. You should really soak it so the water flows out the bottom and then wait to water until the top couple of inches are completely dry. If you're just giving it little sips, you could be overwatering it and causing root issues.
I appreciate that! I usually just water a bit when the moisture meter says it’s dry, but I’ll definitely try your method and see if it makes a difference.
That’s a good idea! I don’t think they switch to AC yet, so it could just be the heat affecting my plant.
