Hey everyone, I'm living in a one-bedroom basement apartment and I'm currently dealing with a frustrating ant problem. My landlord isn't responding, and I've tried spraying the perimeter with Ortho Home Defense, but it only works for a few days before the little black ants find their way back in. I vacuum daily and have set up traps, but they seem clueless about the bait. They're coming out from under the baseboards, and it's to the point where they're even in my bed, despite there being no food or water in my room. They've taken over my bathroom as well, and I'm running a dehumidifier in there constantly. I'm at my wit's end and even considering sleeping in my car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've had great success with Terro liquid ant baits. They attract ants and then they take the bait back to their nest, which eventually wipes out the whole colony. It's super effective for most types of ants. If that doesn't work, you might want to try Advan, which is rated well for those stubborn ants that turn their noses up at Terro.
Mixing borax with jelly is a trick I've used! Just place it in Gatorade lids around the house, out of reach of kids and pets. The ants will take that back to their queen, and it should help eliminate the colony over a few days. Let me know if you want any tips on the proportions!

Thanks for the tip! Should I make it into a paste, or just leave it as it is?
