I'm thinking about picking up the M12 grease gun, and it comes with an XR5 battery for $120. Since I'm new to Milwaukee tools, I wanted to get your thoughts on the XR5 battery. I'll mainly be using this for some equipment and toys around the house. Is it a solid choice?

The XC5.0 is definitely one of the best batteries for the M12 range. That said, just about any M12 battery should do the job for the grease gun. And getting both for $120 is a fantastic deal! Where did you find this deal?
Bummer about the price, but still sounds like a decent deal with the battery included!
Absolutely go for it! The XR5 battery works well, and powered grease guns make greasing a breeze. You won't regret it, trust me!
The 5.0Ah M12 battery is a bit more than what you'll need for this grease gun, but it's really useful to have around. It's perfect for anyone who needs to grease equipment or trailers on their property. In my opinion, unless you’re working with really big machinery, the M18 grease gun isn't necessary. You're making a smart choice here; the M12 system is great!

I just realized the salesman got it wrong; it's actually $169, and that includes a free RedLithium High Output XC5.0.
