Hey everyone! I'm diving into vegetable gardening for the first time this year, and I've got some seed potatoes that I'm currently chitting. I'm curious, how many seed potatoes can I realistically plant in a 10 gallon (40 liter) pot? Any tips would be great!

You could go with about 1 or 2. Remember, potato vines can spread out several feet, so if you cramp them too much, you'll end up with smaller potatoes.
I'd recommend getting at least 3 or 4 seed potatoes in there. Personally, I usually plant 2 in my 5 gallon buckets, and they grow pretty well!

Thanks for the tip! How much soil do you typically put in the bottom? I read somewhere that 4 to 6 inches is the standard, but that seems a bit shallow to me.
