I'm looking for some creative ways to hang plants from my roof. I'm not talking about indoor plants—I want to grow things like beans and strawberries outside. I heard hanging them could help keep the berries safe from slugs, and since I live in a clay-rich area, I think hanging the viney beans would suit them better. I'm a bit tired, so sorry if my question sounds off. Any advice would be appreciated!

You might want to attach a trellis to your house for the beans to climb up. Another idea is to create a hanging system using strong strings or hooks where you can suspend pots for the strawberries. If you go with the trellis, place it in the ground next to your wall without drilling into your exterior—it's simpler and prevents damage to your house!
There's this handy container called a topsy turvy that works for hanging plants. I tried it once but learned the hard way that they can really heat up if they're under direct sunlight, which ends up cooking the roots. I'd recommend using an east-facing eave for your strawberries to avoid that issue!
