What Are the Dimensions for Plywood and Trim in Shaker Box Style?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to make a shaker box style and need some help figuring out the dimensions for the plywood piece used on the sides, as well as the trim. What thickness and size would be best for this project? I want to ensure I get the right type of wood to achieve a similar look. Thanks a bunch!

For the shaker parts, you'd likely want 1/4” plywood along with 3/4” solid wood for the trim, and you might consider 1/4” insets too. They generally use it to create shaker style doors and drawer fronts to finish off cabinet boxes.

Thanks a lot! This is just what I needed since I'm not very familiar with these measurements.

It seems like the plywood you're looking for is probably around 1/4 or 1/8 inch thick, and birch would be a good choice. They typically sell it in 4x8 ft sheets, which you can cut down to fit your project.

Thank you! How about the trim pieces for the shaker style?
