Do I really need to replace my railing?

I recently noticed some damage to my railing, even though my house was built in March 2022. I'm wondering if I need to replace the whole section or if there are products out there that might help fix it instead. Here's a link to the issue I'm seeing: https://imgur.com/a/hVzoGt5

It looks like that part of the railing is shot because the wood seems waterlogged. I'd recommend replacing it with a similar style but using pressure-treated (PT) lumber. Also, if you orient the boards so that the narrow side faces up, it’ll make for easier grabbing and reduce water pooling. Just curious, what's the wood type for your deck and stairs?

I'm not entirely sure what type of wood was used, since the house was pre-built. I guess I've just accepted that replacing it is the way to go. Thanks for the suggestion!
