I'm looking to plant some trees in my large backyard and want ones that are vibrant and eye-catching. I've been eyeing Paulownia for its colors and fast growth, but I've heard they're quite invasive. Can anyone suggest other options? I'm located in the south with plenty of sunlight, and my soil is likely loamy, though I'm not entirely certain. I'm particularly interested in fast-growing varieties.

Acer trees are a great bet! They have some beautiful vibrant leaves that shift in color with the seasons. For example, Acer Palmatum ‘Sango-Kaku’ not only looks stunning but has lovely bark too.
Have you considered Cercis Canadensis? The ‘Forest Pansy’ is especially striking with its bright pink spring flowers and beautiful heart-shaped red leaves. ‘Paradise Falls’ also has lovely green leaves. The contrast really makes them stand out!
You might want to look into a Judas tree. They’re on the compact side and grow a bit slower, but they have some striking features that might fit your needs. Also, Tibetan cherry is another fantastic option, especially for its unique bark.
