Hey everyone! I'm currently working on a guitar, and I'm debating which adhesive to use. Typically, wood glue is the go-to, but I've modified my project a bit. The neck is just plain wood, but the body has been soaked in epoxy for added stability. I'm worried that standard wood glue won't bond well with the epoxy-treated parts. Gorilla Glue's 5-minute epoxy claims to hold up to 250kg per cm, which sounds safer to me. What do you all think? Any experienced opinions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Just a heads-up, fast-curing epoxies usually aren't as strong as slower curing ones. While the quick cure is convenient, you might want to consider the strength difference.
For situations like yours, I’d say stick with epoxy. Wood glue is great for untreated wood, but since your body is epoxy-coated, it won't bond well. Go with the epoxy for a stronger hold.
I'd recommend doing a test with some scrap wood that mimics your project. There's no harm in experimenting on scrap before committing to your actual build!
Unfortunately, I don’t have any spare wood that matches the body. Plus, my epoxy takes a week to cure and I’m on a deadline for a birthday gift!
Testing is definitely the way to go! You need to see how each adhesive holds up with the materials you're using.
Totally get that! But with the strength rating on this epoxy, the quick drying might actually work in my favor.
