What’s a Good First Plant for a Total Beginner?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy my very first plant, but I have to admit I'm a total newbie when it comes to plant care. I live in a room that's around 75°F, and it gets a good amount of sunlight, which I hope helps! Any suggestions for plants that are easy to care for?

I’d recommend going for a Pothos! They're super forgiving and need very little care, making them ideal for beginners. Plus, they can thrive in various light conditions! Just make sure to keep them out of reach of pets, as they're toxic to cats.

That’s a solid choice! I’ve had my Pothos for a while now, and I agree, even if you forget to water it occasionally, it bounces back.

Spider plants are also fantastic for beginners! They’re quite hardy and do well even in indirect light. Plus, they tend to flourish in most environments, so they’re pretty easygoing!

If you're concerned about your cat, you might want to consider a Cast Iron Plant or a Baby Rubber Plant. Both are low maintenance and non-toxic to pets, so they could be a good fit for you!
