I recently had a NuHeat heated floor installed in my bathroom, and it was just connected to the thermostat today after the tile was laid and grouted. It's been over 4 hours, and the temperature has only increased by about 2 degrees. The floor is on concrete with thinset and tile, so I'm not expecting it to heat up quickly, but this feels really slow. Outside it's in the mid-40s and the house is around 69-70 degrees, while the bathroom might be between 65 and 68. The temperature probe is embedded in the floor as per the installation instructions. Is this slow warming typical? I'm aiming to raise the temperature to the high 70s or low 80s, as the manufacturer states it can reach up to 104 degrees on concrete, which seems a bit excessive to me.

It sounds like you might just need to be patient. I've got in-floor heating too, and the initial warm-up takes a while since you're heating a big mass of concrete and thinset. It can take a few hours to really start warming up, but once it does, maintaining the heat becomes much easier. Just give it some time!

Yeah, I called the installer after running mine overnight, and I actually lost a degree. It's frustrating, for sure!
