I came across this dining table design from Crate & Barrel, and it seems pretty straightforward overall. However, I'm wondering if it's suitable for beginners. I have some concerns about the apron that might be challenging. Can anyone provide insights on the tools I'd need to tackle this project?

This could be considered a beginner project since it's technically straightforward, but you'll definitely need some standard tools like a table saw, planer, and sanders. The aprons require mortise and tenon joints, so you'd need the right setup for that. Plus, preparing a large panel for glue-up can be tricky; I wouldn't want to waste expensive wood on your first project! Just a heads up.

What makes you say the aprons have to be mortise and tenon? There are plenty of ways to do that joint!
