I'm new to gardening and live in Dallas, where the weather is starting to warm up. I didn't think about planting strawberries and blueberries until now. Is it too late to start these berries this year, or should I wait until next year?

You should be fine starting them now! Many berries won’t bear fruit in their first year anyway, so they can take some time to establish. Just let them grow strong, and you should see fruit next year!
It’s definitely better to start now instead of waiting! In Dallas, summer can be tough on plants, so if you want berries, getting them in the ground sooner is a good idea.
Strawberries are actually pretty resilient. They might even do well inside if needed since they don’t need pollination. Blueberries, however, are a bit more tricky because they need a certain number of chill hours, so it could be tough unless you get a mature plant. Just make sure to check what's best for your climate!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into mature plants if I go for blueberries.
