I'm looking to get my shower fixtures—including the shower head, knobs, and any necessary plumbing—professionally replaced. I'm not considering a full remodel of the shower walls or tub, just the hardware itself. I'm located in Massachusetts, so does that affect the pricing? Thanks for any insights!

Replacing the shower head is usually a quick DIY job, so you might save some cash if you tackle that on your own. As for the valve, that could get pricey unless you have a universal valve that can work with different trims. If you do hire someone, it could be on the higher end depending on the complexity.
How high are we talking? Just trying to gauge what to expect here!
