Hey everyone! I'm curious to hear about your plant mishaps. What's the most expensive plant you or your spouse have bought and then ended up killing by accident? I'll share my story: we once got a corm of an Alocasia Black Velvet Pink for $400, but after just three months, my wife lost interest and the poor corm melted away. It's a bummer! Please share your stories to help me feel less bad about that expensive mistake! ??

You know, it’s really not just about the plant itself. Sometimes we invest money for the experience—kind of like how we spend on movies or concerts. You actually had that Alocasia for about 90 days, so if you think about it like that, it only cost you around $4.44 a day. That’s less than a coffee! So don’t beat yourself up too much about it! It was a short but sweet experience.

That definitely helps! I’ve got several plants including 5 philodendrons and a Bird of Paradise, and I’ve lost a few too. But you’re right, they bring joy while they last!
