I've been experiencing a real problem with the heat in my upstairs duplex. The weather has been fluctuating between a high of 70 degrees and a low of 35 degrees, but even with two fans going and four windows wide open, my place is still really warm. Can anyone explain what's going on?

I've had a similar issue! When I moved in last July, I used window air conditioners which helped cool down the place. But if you just started living there, you're in for a bit of a challenge. Consider using those AC units again, even if it feels early in the season. It could also be worth checking if your neighbor is running their heater, as that can impact the temperature too.
Just so you know, at this time last year, I found all my rooms were cooler than they are now, around 72 degrees. So it could just be a seasonal vibe. Hang in there!
It sounds like a classic case of heat rising! In fact, heat naturally moves upwards, so it’s common for upper floors to retain more warmth. How did your apartment fare last summer?

That makes sense! I wasn't sure if the outside heat was the only factor. Thanks for the tip about the AC!
