What are some cat-safe plants or tricks to keep my cat from eating them?

I'm on the lookout for plants that my cat won't decide to munch on. I've tried things like cat grass and citrus sprays, but those haven't worked, and my cat can reach everything in my apartment. I was thinking something really spiky, like a cactus, might deter him. Or maybe a plant that can recover from being chewed? I'm also curious if there are plants with scents that cats dislike. Any suggestions?

Honestly, when it comes to cats, they often just do whatever they want, haha. It feels like they have a mind of their own about eating plants!

My cat is a total terror to my houseplants! It got so bad that I had to move them all outside. But strangely, this orchid my partner gave me for Valentine’s is the one plant she hasn't touched. I think those thicker leaves might really help keep them away from certain plants!

It really depends on the cat, but I’ve noticed that mine ignores certain plants, especially those with dense, rubbery leaves like Peperomia. She goes for the ones with long, blade-like leaves, like spider plants. I’d recommend giving Peperomia a shot since they’re pretty tough and require low maintenance!
