Hi everyone! I've inherited a pretty poor downspout setup from the previous owner of my house, and I'm concerned it might be causing erosion to my foundation. The two downspouts are located at the ends of my two-car garage, and I definitely want to fix this issue before it gets worse. My plan is to increase both the angle and the length of the downspouts so the water flows further away from the house, ideally directing it to a grassy patch at the edge of my property. Looking for suggestions on the most budget-friendly downspouts that can help with this! Here's a picture of my current setup: https://imgur.com/a/P8VVydD.

You might also want to look into flexible downspout extensions. They can be adjusted and are great for directing water exactly where you want it. They’re super affordable and you can move them as needed if your grass area changes in future. Just be sure to secure them so they don’t get blown away!
I understand your situation. For a budget-friendly option, I'd recommend going with vinyl downspouts. They're lightweight and can easily be angled and extended with additional pieces. You can find them at most home improvement stores. Just make sure to choose a length that allows the water to flow away from the foundation and towards your grassy area. Also, consider using elbow fittings to help direct the flow angle effectively!
That sounds like a solid suggestion! I'll check out vinyl options and see what lengths they have at the store.

Great idea! Flexibility sounds perfect for my needs. I'll look into those as well.
