Hey everyone! I'm a handyman and I'm currently dealing with a frustrating problem: a blocked dryer vent in a condo. The dryer is located about 25 feet away from the outdoor vent and has 2-3 bends in the duct, which seems to be causing consistent clogs. My client expects me to clean it out every six months. Besides regular cleanings, does anyone have suggestions to prevent these blockages in the first place? Also, how can I upload pictures other than Imgur? Thanks in advance!

Good points! A booster fan is definitely a good idea. And I would recommend cleaning the lint trap every single time before she uses the dryer. It sounds like you could also consider checking whether there are dampers in the vent system. Sometimes, older condo setups have shared ducts between the kitchen and dryer, which can lead to problems.
A booster fan might be a great solution for this! It can help give the air more push through those long ducts. Also, make sure your client is cleaning the lint trap after every use—it really makes a difference. And just a heads-up, in older condos, the kitchen exhaust might be connected to the dryer vent, which complicates things. You can check for that by scoping the duct to see what you’re up against.
